Arik Treston founded Green Tonic in July of 2004 after working in various capacities in the home video world.
Treston brings his experience from distribution, sales, marketing, development, acquisitions, production and PR to this consulting venture, helping not only independent distributors and studios, but filmmakers as well.
Treston is Co-Founder and CEO of Cinevolve Studios, a new full-service independent motion picture distribution company based in Los Angeles, CA. Through Green Tonic, Treston is also a consultant for leading Gay & Lesbian theatrical and video distributor Wolfe Video. Treston was President of Distribution at Cinema Libre Studio, building their home entertainment division into a self-contained entity, releasing dozens of quality documentaries and inependent films.
Treston has worked for such companies as VPD (Video Products Distributors, one of the nationís leading video distributors) in both sales and marketing capacities, Starlight Home Entertainment, York Entertainment (as Director of Marketing & Distributor Sales).
On a consulting basis, Treston has worked with production companies such as Knockout Films in Canada, and has worked with the Midwest Industry Entertainment Conference (M.E.I.C.), a growing music/film/video game festival and expo based in Lexington, KY.
Treston has been a speaker in various venues, including spearheading a distributor panel discussion at the 2004 M.E.I.C., IFP Los Angeles, and more. Press and publication mentions or interviews of Treston have appeared in Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, Creative Screenwriting Magazine, MovieMaker Magazine, Video Business, and Video Store Magazines. Treston was also one of 10 people on an electronic panel of industry experts (including Chris Gore and Eduardo Sanchez) that was widely distributed to filmmakers through Film Threat, Movie Maker Magazine, and others.
Through the production company that Treston owns with Thomas Jason Davis, he has recently produced the independent feature film "Scab", and is currently in pre-production on 2 new scripts.
